Gina first began practicing yoga in 2004 after the birth of her second daughter. She believes, however, that she has been meditating all her life - in the same way that many of us do by simply listening to sounds and noticing change. At the age of 8 she remembers the very moment she was aware of being aware. That moment and many others, including her own trauma history, led to exploring the realms of philosophy, art, science and athletics.

She underwent a formal teacher training with Alison West of Yoga Union in NYC and studied meditation with Sharon Salzberg, Jack Kornfield, Venerable Robina Courtin, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpooche and many others before doing a Lineage Project Teacher Training and Prison Yoga Training with James Fox.

Gina has taught at Yoga Union, Earth Yoga NYC and was the Director of Yoga at The Three Jewels from 2015-2018. In 2018-19, Gina co-led a 300 Hour Yoga, Meditation and Dharma teacher training at The Three Jewels with Michael Hewett and Hector Marcel.
